RUhouse

The word RUH means peace, calm, soul and spirit — an entire sense of home captured in a single word. In Eastern traditions, it is associated with the gift of enlightenment or new life, while in Arabic folklore it also evokes the legendary bird Ruh. Inspired by this meaning, RUHouse is conceived as a residential complex where comfort, tranquillity and a strong sense of belonging come together.

Located at the foothills of Vitosha Mountain, with views towards both the mountain and the lights of Sofia, RUHouse combines contemporary architecture, thoughtful planning, innovative materials and modern technology. Its sculptural composition is shaped by an interplay of positive and negative volumes, punctuated by distinctive orange accents that give the building a bold and recognizable identity.

The ventilated facade brings together VIROC composite panels, walnut-finish Trespa Meteon cladding, orange Etalbond elements and dark graphite Reynaers aluminium frames. Covered terraces, glass balustrades, integrated lighting, suspended orange ceiling slats and partially landscaped flat roofs reinforce the complex's carefully coordinated architectural language. The same materials and attention to detail continue through the entrance areas, lobbies and shared interior spaces, creating a seamless connection between exterior and interior.

Rising across eight above-ground floors and covering a total area of 19,343 sq. m, the gated complex comprises four sections and 108 apartments, including 13 maisonettes with private landscaped gardens. The residential mix also includes spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom homes, all designed around functional layouts, generous glazing, 2.75-metre clear ceiling heights and views towards Vitosha. An underground car park with 124 spaces, offices and two retail units complete the development.

Energy-efficient systems maintain a comfortable indoor climate with reduced carbon emissions, while more than 50 surveillance cameras and a video intercom system provide enhanced security.
