Borisa Apartments

An apartment building on a Sofia street, photographed after completion. The street elevation is organised as a grid of recessed balconies, each one deep enough to be used rather than looked at.

The facade alternates flat rendered bands with the balcony openings, so the building reads as horizontal layers rather than a stack of floors. Glass balustrades keep the openings clear, and the ground floor is set back at the entrance.
